OVERVIEW / CHALLENGE
PCMP, also presented as ProfessionalCertifications.sa, is a Saudi-based initiative aiming to become the official, government-subsidized marketplace for professional certifications across all industries and levels. The challenge was to create a brand identity that communicates authority, accessibility, and global recognition while addressing the needs of individuals, corporations, and government stakeholders. Unlike existing tools like Accredible or Sertifier, PCMP is positioned as a one-stop shop where Saudi professionals can directly apply for certifications, access government subsidies, and trust a unified platform as the reference point for career development .
PROCESS
The process began with brand discovery sessions that defined PCMP’s core message: Official – Professional – Development. Research into competitors such as Careers360 and Certiport highlighted the need to differentiate PCMP as not just a certification tool but a true marketplace. From there, I developed stylescapes that balanced simplicity, modernity, and global presence while ensuring alignment with Saudi cultural and governmental expectations.
Design exploration focused on combining symbolic elements: a medal or badge to signify achievement, a check mark to represent validation and trust, and a structured wordmark to ensure memorability. Colors were chosen to convey professionalism and neutrality — white and grey as primaries, with supportive tones of green and blue for growth and stability. The visual system was built with a vector-based style, ensuring clarity across digital and print applications, from certification portals to government presentations .
RESULTS / OUTCOME
The final identity for PCMP establishes a professional, authoritative, and scalable brand system that clearly communicates its role as the trusted hub for professional certifications. The logo suite, typography, and guidelines align with global education standards while resonating with the Saudi market. With a clear message of authority and accessibility, PCMP is now positioned as the official reference point for certifications, enabling professionals to advance their careers while ensuring recognition and credibility across industries.
